Jennifer and Aaron : May 28, 2011
When I met Jennifer and heard her ideas for her wedding I was so excited and I loved her enthusiasm! She planned an outdoor wedding at her parents residence on the river in Harper’s Ferry. And to make her day go even smoother, she hired Diana, a wedding planner from Eventi Planning to put everything in order. Having a wedding planner is so wonderful for any bride as it completely removes the stress of having to know what to do and when. Diana was absolutely fabulous and I loved everything she did for Jennifer and Aaron. I highly recommend her!
Jennifer made her ceremony entrance with her father on a golf cart; they had catering by Famous Dave’s (best chicken I’ve ever had!); Jen had a tandem bike, which everyone took turns riding; badminton; loving sentiments chalked on the pavements; a surprise blue bear mascot for her new hubby; group photos on a swing set; bridesmaids trashing their dresses by jumping into the river; and a river rope swing! All of this was coordinated with the help of Diana. The outdoor set-up was so lovely. I really liked the blue and yellow color theme paired with the sunflowers, yellow umbrellas, bubbles, combined with the BBQ theme.
Aaron met Jennifer when he was out on the town frequenting a bar. They hit it off and have been together ever since. And they are so perfect together… Jen is beautiful and just so warm and genuine. She’s an extremely thoughtful person. I was impressed at how she pulled off having a blue bear mascot to surprise Aaron. And I’m still not sure what the blue bear means, but it was meaningful to Aaron and he was tickled. According to Aaron’s best man, Cody, it takes a lot to get to Aaron’s emotional side. Looks like Jennifer knows exactly how to do that!
This day was just perfect in every way! Jennifer and Aaron’s friends sure know how to have fun. There was something going on somewhere all the time. Dancing, drinking, eating, laughing, cigars, games, joking, friends getting sandwiched on the dance floor by the wet wedding party (after they jumped in the river), photos with “Waffles”, the bride’s pug; someone else riding the tandem bike; different people wearing the blue bear head, and of course we can’t forget about kids being kids!!!!! I was in photo utopia!
Congratulations Jennifer and Aaron 🙂
Now it’s time for sharing some of my favorite shots. You can see their whole gallery on my website MistiMorningstar.com, under “galleries”.

This is awesome even though riding a bike doesn’t easily equate with wearing a bridal gown. I just loved the tandem bike.

This is one of my most favorite shots of the day…. we took advantage of the Adirondack chairs by the river to capture this moment. Ahhhhhh so precious!

“Waffles” was waiting all day to join the action. He got this opportunity to be photographed and he was the best poochie model.
